OK, I’m old and don’t understand the entire smart home thing. What’s the big deal about being able to turn lights on from your cell phone? I can certainly see ‘wow, neat’ but after that, what’s the advantage? OK you can dim but you can do that with a normal light switch. Consider this 25% poking fun and 75% honest questions. Thanks for sharing.

WTF is Zwave. Sounds like a dead end.
I used Wemo. It gave me nothing but trouble. Constant reliability issues. Now they are discontinuing service. Big middle finger. I’m switching to Lutron.
