External GPUs Kinda Suck (But This One Doesn't)

The MinisForum DEG1 is the first external GPU dock that I’ve found to be truly exciting: it has an Oculink connection, works with any desktop GPU and power supply, and is only $99. But there’s one catch — it *only* works with Oculink-capable devices. Let’s take a look at this dock and the state of eGPUs altogether.

  1. I can’t download the geforce drivers it says there’s no geforce connected + when i connect the hdmi from the gpu all i have is a black screen . Please help

  2. if you have an old laptop with spare m.2 pcie slot, you can buy oculink adaptor and connect to egpu. just cut a little hold of the laptop. a bit of work but it’s will give your laptop more life and less e waste.

    Is there some kind of oculink to usb thunderbolt converter adapter that can be used? Does it exist?
